Who we are
Abato Foundation Uganda is a children community organization established in 2011 to improve the livelihoods of children and youth in Uganda through through education and nurturing their talents and abilities. “Abato” means children in luganda, the largest spoken local language.
The foundation was started by young people with a vision to raise a generation of changemakers who will lead in the transformation of our society.
We believe that every child irrespective of their social background has an inherent ability deposited in them which when tapped can help them not only realize their potential but also add to the transformation of our society. It is in the desire to provide equal access to quality education and its associated benefits that Abato was established.
A good quality education is the foundation of success for many individuals in Uganda, yet a quality education still remains an exclusive of the rich and the middle class. It is this inequality that we seek to address through provision of low cost, good quality education.
CrownLife International can receive your donations online via ACH, debit card and credit cards securely processed by Tithley, or alternatly by personal checks, cashier's checks, counter checks, or money orders. Donors are encouraged to download the CLI Custom App and donations can be made securely using our app or by also using the Text To Donate number assigned to this campus and located at the top right of this page.

*Receipts are issued for all donations. Online donors will get an instant receipt by email and a year end giving report. Donors by mail will get a paper receipt via return ground mail, unless an email is provided and then the donation will be manually entered and an email receipt generated.
*All donations via CrownLife International are love offerings given, disinterested gifts, charitable donations for which nothing is given in exchange and as such are generally tax deductible for U.S. tax filers. Persons in other nations should check with local tax authorities for tax deductibility.
GIVING SECURITY STATEMENT:
IS TITHE.LY SECURE?All financial information is encrypted and stored by our banking partner to PCI DSS Level 1 compliant standards. PCI DSS Level 1 compliance is a set of rules stated by credit card companies and audited by an independent third party. It is the highest possible rating one can get in the electronic payment processing industry. Additionally, Tithe.ly forces HTTPS for all transaction services using TLS. CrownLife International via Tithely systems requires donors to provide certain personal data in order to securely process online transactions and to prevent misuse of credit, or debit cards. Generally the more information that the donor provides the more likely the donations are to be approved. Hackers and scammers generally cannot supply detailed information such as home address, phone number, email addresses, etc. For this reason we request that you provide the information needed to process your donations. CrownLife International has no access to full credit or debit card numbers, nor bank accounts as that information is only handled by the transaction processor.
